If you’re anything like me and are shopping for a new pair of shoes right about now, then you’ll be glad to hear about the sleek, modern, and walkable pieces from the just-launched collaboration all our editors are excited about. New York City–based footwear brand Margaux and casual ready-to-wear brand Alex Mill have joined forces for their first collaboration—a collection of shoes that reflect the spirit of ease, comfort, and color that both brands embody.
Together, they came up with three different silhouettes—elegant slippers, kitten-heeled mules, and kitten-heeled booties—creating a unique and effortlessly chic collection, inspired by the minimalist ’90s mood that both labels regularly pay tribute to, and a joyful expression of what it means to be on the go today.
The three shoe styles come in a modern-day palette of black velvet, slate blue satin, burgundy, and chocolate suede. Creative director of Alex Mill, Somsack Sikhounmuong, explains, “They’re very simple shoes that will go with every single outfit you have.”
