Laufey is one of those celebrities who continuously delivers beauty looks that are so aesthetically pleasing that our romance-loving hearts skip a beat. The Icelandic Chinese singer-songwriter and musician rose to prominence over the pandemic with the success of her velvety-smooth voice, jazz-inspired sound, recognizable coquette style (we’re talking about pastel-colored bows, oversize collars, and vintage-inspired minidresses with knee socks), and social media presence frequently featuring her identical twin and creative director, Junia.
Since winning a Grammy Award last year, our favorite self-proclaimed lover girl has gone on to announce a third album heading our way on August 22, 2025: A Matter of Time. To celebrate its release, we’re rounding up a few of our favorite Laufey beauty moments, from the Met Gala to Paris Fashion Week and beyond.

Time and Place: Attending the Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, May 2024
For her appearance at the Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion Met Gala in May 2024, Laufey wore a blush-toned dress featuring layered ruffles, delicate floral embellishment, and a silken bodice by Nepalese American designer Prabal Gurung paired with a floaty veil decorated with notes to a Bach fugue. Her makeup look for the night, by Emily Cheng, was created by a lineup of Ilia products, including the Multi-Stick in Dreamer and A Fine Romance on the eyes and cheeks for a rosy glow, the Lip Sketch in Banquette for matte pink lips, and the In Frame Brow Gel to shape the brows.

Time and Place: Attending the Chanel spring/summer 2025 womenswear show during Paris Fashion Week, October 2024
To sit for the Chanel S/S 25 show during Paris Fashion Week, she wore a mint set from the Chanel S/S 24 haute couture collection and this mauve makeup look by makeup artist Lili Choi. In a clip posted to Choi’s instagram page for Chanel Beauty, Laufey says, “Today’s makeup look is lots of pink, flushed cheeks, and a black eyeliner to balance it out.” This ethereal makeup look featured Chanel Beauty’s Ultra Le Teint for a healthy glow, 31 Le Rouge Matte Lipstick N°13 in Rouge Jersey patted on to the lips, Joues Contraste Intense in Rose Ardent for a rosy flush, and the Signature de Chanel in N°10 Noir for a subtle wing tip.

Time and Place: Attending the Lanvin fall/winter 2025 menswear show in Paris, France, January 2025
During Paris Fashion Week, Laufey sat for the Lanvin F/W 25 menswear show wearing a little black dress with an oversize collar, white stitching, and a bow detail. This is one of the first times we’ve spotted Laufey sporting red lips (a notable departure from her princess-like pink), but the choice pairs beautifully with her otherwise minimalist makeup look. To offset the boldness of her matte red lips, she wore a splash of rose-colored blush on the cheekbones, groomed brows, and subtle winged eyeliner. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot another one of her signature beauty choices: a whisper of pastel-colored eyeliner on the lower lash line.

Time and Place: Attending the Chanel Haute Couture spring/summer 2025 show in Paris, France, January 2025
Chanel’s S/S 25 womenswear show wasn’t the only event Laufey attended for the French luxury fashion house. She was also spotted at the haute couture show wearing an elegant two-piece tweed set from the brand’s S/S 25 collection. This time around, Choi created this frosty makeup look by combining sensual mauve lips topped with a pink holographic gloss, dusty-rose blush applied to the apples of her cheeks for a flushed look, winged eyeliner, and pink shadow brushed just below the bottom lash line as the finishing touch. It’s a classic Laufey look with a playful twist that we’re itching to re-create.

Time and Place: Attending the the Chloé fall/winter 2025-2026 womenswear show in Paris, France, March 2025
For the Chloé F/W 25 womenswear show, Laufey opted for a sheer cyan frock with a thin white ribbon around the waist from the brand’s S/S 25 collection worn with a nymph-like, moody pink makeup look by Florrie White. White used a neutral blush-pink lip color (similar to Chanel Beauty’s 31 Le Rouge Matte Lipstick in Rouge Couturière) to add warmth and dimension paired with groomed brows to frame the face, a slight wing, and romantic peach-colored blush for the cheeks and nose bridge.

Time and Place: Attending the Gold House 4th annual Gold Gala at the Music Center in Los Angeles, California, May 2025
This sirencore look has us dreaming of lovelorn sailors, lost ships, and the glistening treasures found below churning waves. The singer stepped out for the Gold House Gold Gala to honor the achievements of the AAPI community wearing a silver art deco Huishan Zhang dress (styled by Leith Clark). Her hair, sprinkled with pearls, featured romantic, face-framing kiss curls complemented by smoky eyes, strong brows, and pinkish-beige lips. Later that evening, she went on to perform onstage and receive the Billboard Gold Music Honor.

Time and Place: Attending the Chanel Haute Couture fall/winter 2025/2026 show in Paris, France, July 2025
Laufey’s most recent beauty moment we’ve fallen in love with? The look she wore to the Chanel Haute Couture F/W 25 show in Paris, France. She posed for the photographers outside the Grand Palais’s Salon d’Honneur wearing an elegant purple dress with floral accents from the fashion house’s S/S 25 haute couture collection and a soft and youthful makeup look by Ellen Walge. We saw her once again wearing purple eye shadow brushed below her waterline (this time, it was a glistening lilac), berry-pink matte lips, a flush to the cheeks, and a sun-kissed base. In other words, it’s the perfect transitional makeup look to take us from summer to fall with a few key products.
