Here are some troubleshooting tips:
(1) No sound from the microphone

• When you plug the microphone into your computer for the first time, the sound card driver will install automatically. The microphone can be used once the installation is complete.
• Ensure the microphone switch is turned on.
• Check your computer’s microphone settings to ensure the external microphone is selected. Right-click on the external microphone and set it as the default device. (Right-click the small speaker icon on your computer’s desktop to select recording settings. In the Windows 10 sound settings, there is a sound control panel in the upper-right corner of the pop-up window. Open the sound control panel and select the recording device).
• Check your Windows 10 system settings to ensure the microphone privacy setting is enabled. If it isn’t, enable it. Right-click the sound settings on the small speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of your computer screen and then click Microphone Privacy Settings at the far right or bottom of the page.

(2) Microphone noise

• Avoid placing electronic devices near the microphone, as they may cause interference and noise issues.
• Check if there is any microphone enhancement or boost function in the software settings for using the microphone. Do not enable it, as it may cause noise.
• It’s best to plug the microphone into the back of the desktop computer case. The jack on the front of the case is an external jack, which can easily cause noise issues.
